Home Assistant and the garage door
A garage door with a keypad as a starting point for better interfaces.
I connected our garage door to Home Assistant and added a keypad. That exposed a usability problem: my setup has no suitable interface for changing codes and time rules.
I currently make those changes with help from Claude or Codex. That works for me, but raises an interesting question: how could this configuration be changed conveniently without building a separate form for every possibility?
This practical problem sparked my interest in describing changes in natural language. The next step would be a clear proposal that I can review and confirm.
